Delphine Doorstop
- Only 4 left in stock!
A ribbed shell carved from one block of Matcha, six and a quarter inches long and three and a half high, with a spiral where the ribs begin. At six pounds it holds a door open, or keeps a row of books upright at the end of a shelf. Matcha is a pale celadon-green marble, cream where it is lightest, with bands of olive. We made it with Kathy Kuo Home for Vanity Hour, our collection for the hour upstairs before the party, and both names are engraved underneath. It is carved and finished by hand in a dedicated atelier in Rajasthan.
Dimensions: 6.25″ L × 4.5″ W × 3.5″ H · 6 lb
Stone: Matcha marble, satin finish
Engraved with Kathy Kuo Home × Anastasio Home
Care: wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Acidic cleaners can mark marble.
In situ: set into Arthur S. Siegel’s 1941 photograph, Library of Congress
Care Instructions
Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid acidic foods, harsh chemicals, and abrasive pads. Marble can be buffed with a clean natural oil to restore its shine. Brass and aluminum will slowly deepen in color, gathering the soft patina that comes only with time and touch.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, shaped by hand from natural stone or cast metal by skilled artisans in Rajasthan, India. Subtle shifts in tone, texture, and form are part of its story—variations we embrace, whether born from the earth or the maker’s touch.
