Anastasio Home
Our Signatures
Every Anastasio Home object begins with an edge — the first thing the hand finds, and the detail that sets the character of the whole piece. We design in five signature profiles, each drawn in Connecticut and hand-finished in our atelier in Rajasthan.
Designed in Connecticut · Crafted in Rajasthan, India

Scallop
The original Anastasio Home profile: a repeating series of soft curves worked along the rim. The curves catch and hold shadow, so the edge changes through the day as the light moves across it.

Cord
A twisted rope carved directly into the stone, so the border reads as cordage running around the piece. It brings movement and a hand-worked line to a still material — and it is unmistakably ours.

Athens
The most architectural of the profiles: a tiered, stepped border that reads as built rather than carved, like a cornice drawn in stone. It gives a piece weight and holds a hard line.

Swell
A fluid, sculptural rise worked into the surface, so the form seems to move. The most tactile of the profiles — the one people reach out to touch — carrying a piece from object to sculpture.

Slab
The clean, minimal profile: a squared border about an inch deep, with no shaping at all, so the stone is the entire statement. It comes in two silhouettes — round and square.

The profile sets the register
Choose the profile for the character you want, and the stone for the colour and veining. Because every profile can be cut in any available stone, the decision is two simple parts.
Slab
When the object should recede and the veining is the whole statement — in a round or square silhouette.
Scallop, Cord & Swell
When the piece is the gesture — Scallop for softness, Cord for detail, Swell for movement.
Athens
When you want architecture and presence that anchors a surface.

Frequently asked questions
What is an edge profile?
The shape of an object's rim or border — the detail that defines its character. Anastasio Home designs five signature profiles: Scallop, Cord, Athens, Swell, and the Slab.
Which is the newest, and which is the original?
Cord is the newest profile. Scallop is the original Anastasio Home profile.
What is the difference between your round and square pieces?
They share the same profile — the clean Slab border — in two silhouettes. The edge is identical; only the outline differs.
Can I order a specific profile in a specific stone?
Yes. Because each piece is made to order from natural stone, profiles can be paired with the stones we currently hold. Custom fabrication is available for design and hospitality projects.
Are the profiles hand-finished?
Yes. Every profile is designed in our Connecticut studio and hand-finished by artisans in our atelier in Rajasthan, India.
