About Anastasio Home
Gabriela Anastasio
Founder

Anastasio Home, founded in 2021, is a design house working in stone and metal — objects designed by Gabriela Anastasio in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and made by hand in a dedicated factory the brand established in Rajasthan, India. Within four years it had built select partnerships with more than fifty retailers across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, including Four Seasons, Moda Operandi, Abask, and Lulu & Georgia, and collaborations with category-defining lifestyle brands like Corpus Naturals, Jenni Kayne, and Crown Affair. In 2026 Gabriela Anastasio was named a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow.

She grew up around stone. Both her parents immigrated from Italy and settled on Long Island, where her father built a landscaping company, laying the bluestone terraces and travertine pools that go into a certain kind of Long Island backyard. In time the company began selling the materials alongside the design work; she learned the stones by name before she knew what they cost.

She studied conceptual art at UC Santa Cruz, with a focus on sculpture, and showed her work in solo and group exhibitions. She kept making it, even as a series of full-time roles pulled her into other worlds.

Those roles became eighteen years in communications, across entertainment, fashion, and luxury, much of it spent championing its craftsmanship and exquisite materials. Her last position before Anastasio Home was director of communications at a Swiss luxury watch brand.

The timing was almost adversarial: a locked-down city, an infant, several funerals in a single season. She had avoided risk her whole life; now it felt better than holding still.

For four years the company was run across an ocean by two people the pandemic never let into the same room — built, of necessity, on faith. They met for the first time in 2025; by then forty-five artisans worked there, on Anastasio Home alone.

The objects are built around memory. A pink-and-black granite is called House Party, after the 1990s Long Island kitchens she grew up in; a nougat-colored terrazzo is Torrone, after the sticky Italian candy. Most stones carry a name and a story.

Everything is designed by Anastasio in Litchfield County and made by hand at the atelier — stone carved on site, metal cast in the company's own foundry; nothing is made at scale. Most of the stone is remnant: blocks and the irregular pieces quarries set aside, found across India and bought in only when they surpass what the team set out to find. The rarest are sold as Rare Earth, one of a kind. When a stone runs out, it is not made again.

Today the studio works with visionaries across lifestyle, hospitality, and luxury, designing for the discerning eye and the playful synesthete.

Frequently asked questions

Who founded Anastasio Home?

Anastasio Home was founded in 2021 by Gabriela Anastasio. The daughter of Italian immigrants and a conceptual artist trained in sculpture at the University of California, Santa Cruz, she spent eighteen years in entertainment, fashion, and luxury communications — most recently as director of communications at a Swiss luxury watch brand — before founding the brand. She was named a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow in 2026.

Where are Anastasio Home pieces made?

Every piece is designed in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and made by hand in a dedicated factory the brand established in Rajasthan, India, where forty-five artisans work full time on Anastasio Home.

How does Anastasio Home source its stone?

Most of the stone is remnant material — blocks, irregular pieces that break from slabs at the quarry, and castaways from larger productions — found across India and brought back only when it surpasses what the team set out to find. The supply is finite, so when a stone runs out, it is not made again.

What is Rare Earth?

Rare Earth is the brand's line of one-of-a-kind objects, each cut from the rarest remnant stones the team finds. Because the stone exists in such small quantity, these pieces cannot be repeated.

Who has Anastasio Home collaborated with?

The brand's first collaboration was with Corpus Naturals in 2022, followed by The Conservatory, Jenni Kayne, and Crown Affair. It has since created capsule collections with Alessandra Codinha, Chloé Crane-Leroux, Grace Fuller, Tania Sarin, and Janie Kruse Garnett.
